About
Prima Felicitas:
(Pronounced Pree-ma Fuh-lis-ee-tahs, meaning First Happiness in Latin)
Prima Felicitas is Debbie Lillig CD(DONA), CLC, PPD, CBE.
I have been actively involved in pregnancy and postpartum work for over a decade as a La Leche League Leader, breastfeeding and infant care educator and most of all, a mother. My own three births were all very different, my first was a C-section, due to placenta previa. I was blessed to be able to have two successful VBAC's, with doulas for my sons' births, at a time when VBAC's were being discouraged. Those births had a greater impact on me than anything I have ever done in my life; they made me whole.
As of January 2015, I am not offering birth service, but still will be offering postpartum doula support, placenta encapsulation, belly binding, belly casting and private childbirth education classes.
As of May 29, 2015, I have been privileged to assist 139 laboring women, 45 of postpartum families and several hundred breastfeeding mothers. I have taught dozens of families how to prepare for their babies and have encapsulated nearly 40 placentas. I look forward to working with you.
Prima Felicitas, first happiness, every baby's first moments of happiness should be birth and postpartum.
